Yes, We're Crazy!

Yes, we are definitely crazy! Doug, Kathy and Jennifer went to "Good Morning America" on Monday morning for the Oscar show. They taped the live show in Hollywood at 4:00 a.m. so that it would be live at 7:00 a.m. on the east coast. So, that meant we had to be at the studio at 2:30 a.m. and get up at 1:30 a.m! That's crazy! Anyway, that's us in the 2nd picture, back row and to the left of the "soap opera/dancing with the stars guy", Cameron.
Here is another shot of us above Diane Sawyer's head and a picture of the delicious muffins that were provided by Wolfgang Puck. We've decided that this will be the last middle of the night/early morning show for a while (we can't say forever because we're crazy and we "might" do it again for the right show).

Roar and Snore!

Matthew and Doug went down to San Diego this weekend for a campout IN the Wild Animal Park with the other cub scout families.
It was a wet weekend, but the boys (and parents and some siblings) had an amazing adventure!

One of the highlights was the lion exhibit.

Doug was able to take some awesome pictures (I can't wait to visit and take pics, too). We paid a few extra dollars over the campout cost and were able to get 3 memberships for the year (for Doug, Kathy and Matthew - our teenagers can go one time with our passes and then that's enough for them).

The cubs were SOOOOOO cute!

Looks like the gorillas called a special meeting to discuss all the rain and cold weather that we've been having lately.

They also spent a lot of time at the elephant exhibit.

Baby elephants are also SOOOOOO cute! = - )

The San Diego Wild Animal Park (WAP) is so amazing.

Like I said, "IT WAS COLD AND WET!" This is a picture of the campground where they camped inside the park (they heard the lions roar all night).
This is the tent where Doug and Matthew slept with the rest of the cub scouts and a final pic of Matthew sleeping on his sleeping pad (kind of). They had a great time at the WAP!

Baby Madison Update!

Baby Madison is almost 2 weeks old and so adorable. Here she is with her Mommy and Daddy.

And here she is with her Grandma and her Great Grandma and Great Grandpa - so precious. Madison will get to meet her other set of great grandparents next month - she is a blessed little girl with so many grandparents and great grandparents. = - )

Happy Valentine's Day

David and friends hosted a special Valentine potluck. Before the party, the planning committee chose a guys name from the guy pile and a girls name from the girl pile and the 2 choices became a couple for the evening. They decorated and then the guests began arriving.
The whole crew before dinner and then the first table of guests (including Matthew who was welcomed with open arms - all the teenagers love him!)
Tables 2 and 3 ready to enjoy their dinner.
A few "couple" pictures - so cute! = - )
Three of the guys ended up wearing the same white shirts and black sweaters. It was SO funny when the final guy walked in - everyone burst out laughing! PS the rest of us Hubbard's enjoyed the potluck, too, but we didn't pose for pictures. Doug and I enjoyed our V-Day dinner and a movie last Saturday, but we didn't take any pictures.

Madison Leigh is here!

Welcome to the world Madison Leigh - we love you! Mommy Lindsay and Daddy Adam love you very much! = - )

Grandpa Mark (Doug's brother) and Grandma Susan love you, too! (on a side note...Matthew couldn't believe that his Uncle Mark and his Aunt Susan are now grandparents - "they are too young!")

Aunt Lauren and Aunt Lesley love you too!

Here is a picture of your Mommy with her twin sister way back in 1987 and a picture of me holding both of you. We are SO happy you are a part of our family. = - )

You're SO precious! We can't wait to meet you in June.

We love you,

Great uncle Doug, great aunt Kathy and your 1st cousins once removed - David, Angelica, Jennifer and Matthew

Spring is in the Air! = - )

After LOTS of rainy, cold weather we are now in the middle of "spring like" sunny days! Matthew is playing basketball with his school team and they had a perfect outside game last weekend.

Matthew played a great game, the team did an awesome job and they won 38-16! = - )

Jennifer and Angelica went to a Jonas Brothers concert and how do you like Jennifer's homemade t-shirt? They are somewhere in that screaming crowd of girls!
Two very happy sisters in their hard won close up seats (they waited outside all day long to win a drawing to be able to buy seats in the first few rows) and a pic of one of the brothers that Jennifer took.
On a sadder note - David's finger was accidentally smashed in a band room door - OUCH! After 5 days it still looks pretty bad and is now slightly crooked - he has a doctor appt. tomorrow to see if it is fractured. UPDATE: it's not fractured, but he is wearing a splint for the next 2 weeks.
