Happy 15th Birthday to Jennifer!

Jennifer requested a birthday dinner at the new Cheesecake Factory at the mall.
The traditional "happy birthday" song from the wait staff and a free ice cream sundae for the birthday girl.
A fun time was had by all!
We then went back home for the "opening of the gifts" and some ice cream cake. Jennifer enjoyed her "Simon" birthday card and the many gift cards that teenagers LOVE!
David delivered the candle lit cake.
Jennifer tried on her new hoodie from Grandpa Chuck and Grandma Arlene and we all feasted on the "Oreo Ice Cream Cake." Yummmmm. Stay tuned to next years birthday - it will be Jennifer's sweet 16 and it's on Thanksgiving Day! = - )

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Hubbard Family. We celebrated at home with Kathy's parents, Phillip and Bobbi. We even let Toby and Tigger have their first taste of turkey - they loved it!
After dinner we began the "Christmas Family Picture" tradition. This year we decided to use a frame - here are a few rejected shots.

Lots of crazy, messed up pictures were taken and then finally the one we decided to use in our Christmas letter (now we just have to write the letter....) Thanks to Uncle Phillip for taking ALL those pictures.

The BIG Double Digit Birthday!

Matthew has now joined the rest of the family in the "double digit" birthday club.
He received many fun gifts, but especially loves his Star Wars gift from Uncle Phillip, Grandma Marianne and Grandpa John. He is also looking forward to spending his Target gift card from Grandpa Chuck and Grandma Arlene.
Matthew asked for a Star Wars Storm Trooper cake and that's what he got - even if it had a few cosmetic issues. The taste was great and that's all that counted.
Yum, yum cake and lots of presents for the 10 year old birthday boy - our "baby" is growing up!

Look What The Cat Drug In...

OK, so here's the story about "what the cat drug in..." A few weeks ago we innocently came home from school and work, but as soon as the girls entered the house I heard SCREAMING coming from their bedroom! To make a long story short - our cat Tigger left them a present in their room - a very DEAD squirrel (with one missing body part)!
Us girls were FREAKED OUT and the only guy home was Matthew so he happily came to the rescue and took the squirrel out of the house.
Here is a closer look at the gift - if you REALLY want a CLOSE look go ahead and "left click" on the picture and you can see ALL the bloody details. (If you are already grossed out by this post you won't want to do that). By the way, Matthew was THE MAN that day and was completely mystified as to why we were so freaked out. Tigger didn't understand either.
