Stuck on the Roof...Again.

Yep, Tigger was stuck on the roof again! We trimmed the tree that he kept climbing to get on the roof, but he found another way to get up. The problem is that he can't get down and then meows his head off for hours asking to get off the roof!
The 2 Matthew's came to the rescue by borrowing Matthew's ladder.
Jennifer climbed up on the roof and threw Tigger off - you'd think he'd get the point and not climb on the roof! You can watch a short video of the rescue. = - )

Music Video Shoot

Angelica, Jennifer and Matthew were extras in a music video a few weeks ago. The video was filmed at a very nice house in the Valley. They put plastic on the house and then spray painted it with graffiti. The extras did a lot of waiting in the backyard.
One of the video guys filmed all the extras as they gave greetings to the star of the video, Selena Gomez, (from Wizards of Waverly Place) and then all the extras were "fans" watching the video shoot in the music video. Jennifer was able to get a picture with Selena when the shoot was finished.

We Had An Earthquake!

I was at work when it happened, the teenagers were at home and Matthew was at a daycamp. We didn't have any damage and the epicenter was about 15 miles from our home. It woke David up, Angelica and Jennifer dove under the dining table, our kitty cats freaked out and Matthew couldn't go swimming at the camp because they thought there was a gas leak. Doug is still in Poland and didn't feel a thing. It was the first earthquake that the kids remember and thankfully very little damage in the city (except the Kmart in Diamond Bar).

Poland Update

The LA group joined the Polish youth for Family Camp.
The camp was very close to the Baltic Sea. After a week at camp they toured a few of the cities in Poland. The group is having a great time and getting ready to go to Germany for the Baptist World Youth Conference.

Pool Fun!

Our pool is getting A LOT of use since we came home from vacation!

California, Here We Come!

We drove through Zion National Park on the way home.
The first thing we did when we arrived home was visit Quickly.
For boba milk tea. We were greeted by a bunch of toilet paper all over our yard.
It was a "welcome home" gift.
Matthew and David cleaned it up and our kitty cats waited patiently by their food dishes. They were happy to see us and we were happy to see them. It was a great trip and we were glad to be home.

Bryce Canyon National Park

Utah...here we come! We camped for 2 nights at Bryce.
We had an awesome campsite - close to the restrooms, water and lots of space.
Another stamp in the passport books.
We hiked the Navajo Loop Trail again (same as 6 years ago) - just as amazing.
Going down is a piece of cake.
You just keeping going down, down, down.
At the bottom you feel SO small!
Along the way we noticed that hikers have created a little "Hoodoo Memorial" beside the trail and Matthew created his own hoodoo.
This is the Wall Street area with 2 trees reaching up to the rim of the canyon.
There were nice shady spots to rest in as we began our hike back up. This little ground squirrel kept begging for food, but we didn't give it any - that's a big no-no.
Going back up was fun - NOT! It was hot and a LONG WAY UP! At the top we treated the kids (and us) to lunch at the Lodge Dining Room.
We made sure to visit the Lodge a few times for our traditional game of Phase 10.
Doug won and Matthew lost a tooth.
