Stuck in the SNOW!!

This morning we went to the Christmas Eve morning service at Doug's home church and Matthew found more snow to play in.
On the way home from church we got stuck in the snow! We shoveled, backed up, tried to pull forward, took pictures, laughed, worried that we never would get out, felt embarrassed and then finally David and Kathy stepped in a pile of wet muddy slush and pushed the van to freedom! It was a fun mother/son bonding moment. = -)

Traveling to Denver

We had great traveling weather the whole trip. On Friday night we arrived at our Beaver, Utah motel and found SNOW!
Matthew played in the snow and our favorite Christmas decoration was this palm tree right outside our room.
On Saturday we made it to Colorado and the real snow. Jennifer threw the first snowball!

That evening we arrived in Denver to over 2 feet of snow - it was crazy driving on the side streets that still need to be plowed. We're very thankful to be safe and sound at Grandma and Grandpa's! = - )

Denver Here We Come!

Yes, we are heading to VERY snowy Denver to celebrate Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma Hubbard! We're leaving tomorrow (Friday) morning and plan to arrive on Saturday night. The interstate should be free of snow (thanks to snow plows), but say a prayer for safe driving as we "hit" the road! = - ) This is what we have to look forward to:
This will be the kids' first white Christmas and we're all looking forward to a little sledding, snowblowing and snow shoveling!

Christmas...past and present slideshow

Take a look back to Christmas past and present - to view the captions just put your curser over a picture in the slideshow, the picture will pause and a caption will appear. Move your curser to the side to continue the slideshow. Enjoy...

Weekend Christmas Celebrations

The tradition continues...a Santa picture at the Child SHARE Christmas party!
A visit to The Grove in Hollywood will become a new tradition. Can you see the snow falling behind Angelica and Jennifer? It's "bubble snow."
We had fun at the Apple Store in the Grove - the photo booth feature on the computers was a family favorite. We were able to get a nice couple shot, a cute family pic and then...
we went bonkers and spent LOTS of time laughing over our distorted faces!
The next day we went to the Justis Kao Christmas concert in Long Beach. It was a fun and busy weekend!

Decorating for Christmas

Our livingroom and Woody - ready for Christmas!
Some ornaments: wedding, baby David 2 days after Christmas...
Angelica, Jennifer and our baby Mattthew.

Toilet Humor

David and his friends got together and created a very unique birthday gift for Monica! I'm sure Monica and her family were very touched.

December Harbor Cruise

Doug and Kathy enjoyed a lovely afternoon harbor cruise with fellow youth ministers in Newport Beach a few days ago.
It was a sunny December afternoon and Doug HAD to call his east coast friends and brag about how HOT it was here in sunny, southern California! = - )

TEENick Taping

Our teenagers went to a taping of TEENick (promo for the movie, Unaccompanied Minors). Angelica and Jennifer made it into some good group shots during the show!
David even asked Wilmer Valderrama a question, "What type of music did you listen to as a kid?" - his first speaking part! = - )

Championships - 2nd place!

The final show of the year and the band came home with 2nd place.
I was finally able to get pictures with the complete uniform!
Here's the video from this performance - we'll miss the Les Miserables fieldshow - it was the BEST! By the way, this video is great quality compared to the one I posted at the beginning of the season. = - )
