Rose Court Try Outs

Angelica and Jennifer both went to the Rose Court try outs for the Rose Parade. It was a fun experience for them and they are looking forward to the Royal Ball in a couple of weeks.

First Field Show - Sept 11, 2009

Football season is here again and that means MARCHING BAND!

High school football may be the main event, but for band parents it's all about the band!

There was even a beautiful sunset that night when the band took to the field for the first performance of the season.

They wear jeans and their music club t-shirt for the first performance. The ending song is always the Alma Mater.

Time to go back to the band room after a not so good football game (at least the band did not disappoint. = - )

The band performed before Back to School Night and, as you can see, the Station Fire is still burning in the nearby mountains.

Movie Premieres, a Book Signing and Concert Fun!

Jennifer and Angelica went to the Monsters vs Aliens premiere.

First they took pics with celebrities.

And more celebritites.

Then they scored a ticket to the movie, walked the blue carpet and sang happy birthday to Reese.

Jennifer waited all day to buy Miley's book and then went back the next day to wait some more and made some new friends along the way.

Then she met Miley and her little sister, Noah.

The Jonas Brothers 3D movie premiere was fun and there was a beautiful sunset.

Bedtime Stories Premiere

Jennifer and Sarah went to the Bedtime Stories premiere tonight.

They took A LOT of pics with celebrities, but I don't have the time to post more than 2. They had fun! = - )

Happy Thanksgiving and Birthday 2008!

The table all set and ready for our family dinner of 15. A group picture of everyone gathered before the meal.

A dinner plate and 2 sweet potato pies with a carrot cake birthday cake waiting for their big debut later in the evening.

Time to open presents - Jennifer enjoyed her scratch and sniff AMC gift card from David and Angelica (smelled like popcorn).

Two fun games that Jennifer received for ther 16th birthday on Turkey Day.

This is the Scattergories winning team and their winning score sheet - we are the "middle aged" team.

The senior citizen and teenage Scattergories teams.

The young adult Scattergories team and Matthew played on his own "lego building" team.

Time to move on to the Disney Channel Scene It game - we again had a senior citizen team with Doug added as the resident "disney channel expert." And the middle aged team with David and Angelica to help us.

Jennifer is the true expert with Matthew coming in a close second - they played for the young adult team. After most of the food had digested we were ready for the birthday cake - homemade carrot cake - yum!

Jennifer thinks about her wish and is then ready to blow out the candles.

Time for the first guests to leave - they all have long drives home! It was a fun thanksgiving/birthday day! = - )
