Another band competition...this time in Chino.
Here comes Arcadia. This year some of the band members get to start the show lying down (Jennifer gets to lie down, but not Angelica).

The final home football game of the year was costume night (Oct 30) and it was Angelica and Jennifer's LAST time to march at a high school football game. = - (

We headed down to San Diego for a band competition and Matthew watched a movie.
Doug drove and I took pictures.
We had linner at our favorite chinese restaurant and then headed over to the school.
I entered the "count the snakes" in the competition program and won!
Here comes Arcadia!
They did very well - came in 1st place in several areas and even won some sweepstakes awards.
A new way to exit the field and time to enjoy some other bands.

As you can see, it was a very foggy night! The leaders of the band present the trophies to the band gathered under the goal posts.
Big group hug and time to celebrate. Angelica left her jeans and jacket in the bus and was FREEZING!

Football season is here again and that means MARCHING BAND!
High school football may be the main event, but for band parents it's all about the band!
There was even a beautiful sunset that night when the band took to the field for the first performance of the season.
They wear jeans and their music club t-shirt for the first performance. The ending song is always the Alma Mater.
Time to go back to the band room after a not so good football game (at least the band did not disappoint. = - )
