Homecoming Celebration

Last weekend David went on his first date.

The whole crew (all 22) rented a limo for the drive to the Anaheim Convention Center and the Homecoming Dance.

Disney TV Tapings

Recently we went to "Cory in the House" - a brand-new Disney show (it hasn't even aired yet). It's a spin off of "That's So Raven."

The cast comes out for a final bow just before the autograph/picture taking session.

Jennifer and Michael from Zoey 101, Chris Massey, (Chris is the brother of Kyle Massey from Cory in the House).

A few days later we went to a "Suite Life of Zack and Cody" taping.

It's a very fun show to go to - we love LA and the free tv show tapings! = - )

Ground Zero pictures from our July visit

Back in July of this year we visited Ground Zero and it was a very sobering experience - we took many pictures as we walked around the entire footprint of the World Trade Centers. Here are a few of the pictures from that day.

band, boy scouts and birthdays...

Many hours have been spent on the football field practicing for the fall field show - it's been hard work, and I keep telling our freshmen girls that it will get easier!

Matthew is glad to be back in cub scouts after a short summer break.

We celebrated Doug's 46th birthday (9/9) and Uncle Phillip's 31st belated birthday (8/16) with a combined celebration. The cake looked like a girls' cake because Matthew wanted to use the confetti sprinkles we won in a silent auction a few months ago. = - )

First Day of School! = - )

9/5/06 - The 1st day of high school - Jennifer and Angelica are freshmen and David's a sophomore.

9/6/06 - The next day Matthew began his 3rd grade year!

He has a great teacher and is having a wonderful time being a more responsible 3rd grader.

It's off to Music Camp for the week!

David, Angelica and Jennifer are at band camp for the week - the whole high school music program goes to the mountains for a sleep-away music camp (chorus, orchestra, color guard and marching band). This is David's 2nd year and the girls' first.

Angelica's alto sax section left this special note on our front porch VERY early in the morning

and they also left a couple of little extra greetings! = - )

It was Youth Sunday at church this weekend... the youth worship band led worship...

Mexico/US border pictures!

This year our border experience was a little different than usual - the lines were as long as they always are and our wait was the normal 3 hours, but this year we witnessed our first illegal border crossing!

I took these pictures while we were in our van waiting in the long line - the guy at the top just jumped on the fence and began helping a whole family jump the border!

We just sat in our van and watched the whole thing - only took about 30 seconds.

We heard that they were caught right away on the other side. Never thought we'd see this in the middle of the day and right down the street from the border crossing.
